Designed exclusively for classroom use, this program on New Orleans and its famous Mardi Gras helps students gain an understanding of the history and traditions surrounding the city and the event. The program moves from costume design and creation to display in one of the many Mardi Gras parades. In addition to the parade floats with their Krewes, beads and masks, the music, food and culture of the city are also highlighted. Please note that this program omits the more mature aspects of the Mardi Gras celebration. Program presented in English, French and Spanish.
