Swim in a naturally heated swimming pool before going to a greenhouse where Icelanders grow coffee, tomatoes, bananas and cacti -- even during an Arctic winter! Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Iceland, including their use of geothermal energy from hot springs. After visiting a Viking museum, students will encounter what the capital city of Reykjavik has to offer. And no trip to Iceland would be complete without taking a relaxing dip in a geothermal lagoon.
