Ecosystems for Children allows children to build an understanding of biological concepts through experience with living things, their life cycles and their habitats. The series is based on the concepts outlined in the National Science Education Standards for Life Science: characteristics of organisms, life cycles of organisms and organisms & environments. Each program includes a Teacher's Guide featuring additional information on the topic, vocabulary words, discussion questions, follow-up activities and lists of recommended books and Internet resources.
