Physical therapists, trainers, coaches, athletes and other experts offer helpful advice on the prevention of athletic injury and the development of a healthy lifestyle. They cover the most common causes for athletic injuries: change or a variation in sport, environment, equipment and level of intensity. Additionally, failure to follow proper nutritional guidelines and warm-up procedures, or the use of alcohol or drugs such as steroids, adds not only the risk of injury but to the potential for serious health problems.
