PRODUCT SUMMARY

Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney star in this seven-part HBO miniseries about the life and times of the second President of the United States. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography by David McCullough, the series explores Adams' role as a Founding Father of the United States and his extraordinary relationship with his wife Abigail. Viewers will follow Adams' life from the aftermath of the Boston Massacre through the First and Second Continental Congress, and the events of the Revolutionary War, his terms as Vice President and President of the United States to his death on July 4, 1826. Produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman (Band of Brothers), the series costars Rufus Sewell, David Morse, Sarah Polley, Stephen Dillane and Tom Wilkinson. (Note: Rated TV-PG for mild language, violence and brief nudity.) A teacher's guide is available online.
