AnnaSophia Robb and Josh Hutcherson star in this live-action adaptation of Katherine Paterson's Newbery Award-winning book. A shy fifth grader named Jesse learns about love when he strikes up a friendship with the spirited new girl in town, Leslie. Together, Jesse and Leslie create an elaborate fantasy world of monsters, trolls and giants, where they share their innermost secrets and dreams. Jesse's friendship with Leslie changes him forever and enables him to cope with an unexpected loss. Rated PG for thematic elements including bullying, some peril and mild language, the film also stars Robert Patrick and Zooey Deschanel.
