PRODUCT SUMMARY

From the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning PBS children's series, Reading Rainbow, this program presents the book by Derek Munson. When his dad suggests making an "enemy pie," the boy in the book is excited but confused about spending an entire day with his adversary. In the end, he learns how to turn a best enemy into a best friend. Also in this episode, host LeVar Burton introduces two friends from different backgrounds who spend a day exploring their cultural differences, and viewers will meet five sets of friends who share the secrets of their friendships.

The Reading Rainbow programs are designed to encourage children to read by transporting them to exciting, real-life settings. The series introduces kids to interesting new people and places, explores social and cultural issues, and offers a close-up look at the world around them. Its dynamic, fast-paced, colorful animation and hip music entertain and reinforce these experiences, and help children embrace positive reading habits, skills and attitudes.
