Based on the book by Maira Kalman, this animated story follows the history of this New York City fireboat, from its launch in 1931 to its role during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Narrated by Roy Scheider, the tale follows the John J. Harvey through its distinguished career and eventful retirement, highlighting how the low-tech vessel came out of retirement on 9/11 to help fight fires at the site of the terrorist attacks.
