PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to the United States! In this program, students will trek through the capital city of Washington, D.C., starting with a stroll through the neighborhood of Georgetown. Next, it's off for a sightseeing tour of some of D.C.'s most famous places: the Jefferson Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and the Capitol Building. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of the United States, including how over 23,000 people work at the Pentagon alone! After exploring the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, students will visit the Washington National Cathedral before sitting down in a diner for some typical American fare: cheeseburgers and French fries. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
