PRODUCT SUMMARY
For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to the United Kingdom! In this program, students will tour the capital city of London to see some of its most famous sites: the Palace of Westminster, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Borough Market. After a meal of fish and chips, students will meet a couple of British policemen, more famously known as "bobbies," play soccer and watch a game of cricket, the U.K.'s national sport. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of the United Kingdom, including which constituent countries actually make up the U.K. At the end of the journey, students will catch a glimpse of the majestic red deer in Richmond Park before taking a boat ride up the Thames River. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
