PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Turkey! In this program, students will tour the city of Istanbul to see what it has to offer, starting with crossing the Bosporus Strait and visiting the Archaeological Museum. After perusing the fabulous rugs for sale in a local market, it's off to Hagia Sophia to marvel at the Christian and Islamic artwork adorning its walls. Throughout the program, students will learn some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Turkey, including how part of the country is in Europe and the other is in Asia. After prayers in a local mosque, students will participate in the Sugar Festival by visiting neighboring houses and collecting sweets and money! Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
