PRODUCT SUMMARY
For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Sweden! In this program, students will begin their travels in the capital city of Stockholm. Here, they will walk the winding cobblestone streets of the Gamlestan and attend a military parade celebrating Flag Day to get a glimpse of the Swedish royal family. After that, it's off to Drottning Street for some shopping. Throughout the program, students will learn some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Sweden, including how the Nobel Prizes are awarded in Stockholm each year. After a visit to Skansen, an open-air cultural museum, students will take a ferry to the island of Vaxholm and enjoy the scenic countryside. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
