PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Mongolia! In this program, students will travel to the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. While there, they will tour the Museum of Natural History, watch a play rehearsal at the National Theater of Mongolia and spin a prayer wheel at the Buddhist Gandan Temple. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Mongolia, in addition to listening to khoomii singers who are able to sing more than one note at a time. Before their journey ends, students will trek out to the rustic steppe and spend some time in a yurt -- a circular dome tent used by Mongolian nomads. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
