PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Malta! In this program, students will begin their travels by boating in the waters surrounding the capital city of Valetta to see the ramparts fortifications once used to repel pirates! Once back on land, they will visit an outdoor market and attend a ceremony honoring a battle known as the Great Siege. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Malta, including the importance of the Knights of the Order of Malta to the national identity. After taking a ferry to the island of Gozo, students will complete their journey by cruising through the crystal-clear waters of a grotto. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
