PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Madagascar! In this program, students will begin their travels in the capital city of Antananarivo to shop in an outdoor craft market for gemstones and tour the palace at the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga. From there, it's off to the mountainous region outside the city to witness artisans crafting metal pieces -- all by hand! Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Madagascar, including why its nickname is "The Great Red Island." Before their voyage ends, students will come face-to-face with some rambunctious critters at the Lemurs Park wildlife preserve. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
