Then, children visit the town of Ponce, Puerto Rico, where a carnival celebration is in full swing with parades, colorful costumes, masks, festive music and dancing. Children learn to make their own carnival masks, watch an animated folktale, Song of the Coqui, observe the native Puerto Rican frog and sing a folksong about the frog, called "El Coqui. Part of the American Cultures for Children DVD Series, which introduces children to the rich tapestry of world cultures thriving in America today. Features Tony Award-winning actress Phylicia Rashad.
