PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Denmark! In this program, students will take a bike ride through the capital city of Copenhagen to see the Vor Frelsers Church and walk up its spiral staircase before visiting Christiania, a separate village within the city. Next, pedal over to Stroget, the main shopping street, and watch some street performers. Throughout the program, students will learn a little about the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Denmark, including the Danes' use of windmills to produce energy and help keep their environment clean. Students will encounter famous faces at Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum, ride a roller coaster at Tivoli Gardens and take the train to the town of Odense to visit the childhood home of Hans Christian Andersen. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are also available online.
