PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to China! In this program, students will tour Shanghai and experience what the immense city has to offer, starting with shopping in a traditional market before taking an elevator to the top of the sky-high Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Then, it's off to the Nanshi district for a stroll through the beautiful Yuyuan Garden and a visit to a Buddhist temple to burn some incense. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of China, including how most people in China ride bicycles instead of driving cars. After sampling some delicacies in a tea-house, students will complete their journey with a visit to the modern Shanghai Opera House to watch a time-honored Yueju performance. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
