For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Chile! In this program, students will begin their journey in the village of El Alfalfal, in the Andes Mountains, where they will shop for copper jewelry. Next, it's off to the capital city of Santiago to see the governmental palace and the Plaza de Armas. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Chile, including its national symbol, the rare and endangered condor. Students will complete their travels by heading south to a village outside the city of Valparaiso, where they will snack on humitas and dance the cueca. Part of the Countries Around the World Series.
