PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Canada! In this program, students will begin their journey with some snowshoeing in scenic Gatineau Park. From there, they'll travel to Ottawa and start their tour of the capital city by attending the Winterlude carnival and watching dog-sled races. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Canada, including how most of the vast country is actually unpopulated. After a visit to the Canadian Museum of Civilization, students will do some ice skating on Rideau Canal and snack on maple taffy before marveling at the ornate ice sculptures in Confederation Park. Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
