PRODUCT SUMMARY

For sale in U.S. only-- Welcome to Brazil! In this program, students will tour the city of Rio de Janeiro, starting with a trip to an outdoor market to sample some delectable fruits and a stroll through Tijuca National Park, a tropical rainforest located in the middle of the city! After a lunch of feijoada, a pork and black bean stew, students will visit the Imperial Palace and the Niteroi Contemporary Art Museum. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Brazil, including how the country got its name from a tree. At the culmination of the journey, students will experience the bright lights and big crowds of the spectacular Sambodrome to do some partying -- Carnival style! Part of the Countries Around the World Series. A teacher's guide for the series is included and available online. Title-specific guides are available online.
