In fun, informative segments, students will learn about a variety of animal species, including birds, fish, amphibians, mammals and insects & other invertebrates. Additional programs focus on the specific aspects of animal life -- their basic needs, behavior, adaptations, life cycles and their roles in the food chain. This series correlates to the National Science Education Standards for Grades 5-8 for Life Science -- structure & function in living systems, reproduction & heredity, regulation & behavior, populations & ecosystems and diversity & adaptations of organisms.
