Tingo's Crush
Tingo has a big crush on his teacher, Ms. Huong, but he has lost his backpack. How will he do his homework for her? As he searches for his backpack, children practice using common expressions such as "Where is my...?" and "Please help me find my…." Young learners also discover how to ask a question using the verb "to want" and review the numbers 1 through 15. Essential vocabulary associated with school is introduced, including "backpack," "book," "paper" and "apple." Includes Grover and Kermit presenting the letter "X."
Here in Right Field
Kids are introduced to the actions of "catching" and "throwing" in this fun program, featuring Tingo learning to catch a baseball with Niki. Children will practice common phrases like "Try it" and "I'm not ready" as well as learn to construct phrases combining the word "going" with an infinitive, as in "I am going to throw the ball." Young learners are introduced to the number "17" and review the letter "T." Includes the Sesame Street Muppets singing the ABCs!

Created by Sesame Workshop, these programs are designed to teach English as a Second Language. Tingo, an energetic Muppet, who only recently arrived in this country, introduces conversational English through adventures with his friend, Niki, a typical teenage girl. The program features two 13-minute segments and follows a simple storyline that uses humor, physical action and music to appeal to children while introducing basic English expressions, vocabulary and sentence structures. The program also includes classic Sesame Street Muppets, animation and live-action segments. Tingo speaks in English as well as Spanish to clarify and reinforce storylines and language concepts.
