In Using the Library, students will learn that there is much more to a library than the books on the shelves. Students will discover what kinds of information can be found in a library, and how libraries organize their materials. This program will help students to gain an understanding of OPAC, the Online Public Access Catalog, and to develop essential strategies for finding the information they seek. Students will gain an appreciation for librarians as information experts available to help students navigate the world of knowledge at their fingertips in the library. Part of the multivolume Library Skills for Children Video Series. A Teacher's Guide is included and available online. |
