| | | | | | Live in three…two…one! Join our young radio personalities as they prepare for and broadcast this edition of Cover 2 Cover, which features strategies for reading comprehension. In this program, the staff at WORD explores a variety of comprehension strategies that can be used before, during and after reading. The staff takes students on a fun-filled frolic through previewing, predicting, purpose, using background knowledge, rereading, retelling and summarizing. Radio jocks show students how to determine if a book is written on their reading level and how to use graphic organizers, like word webs and KWL charts, to stay organized while reading. This fast-paced and zany approach to reading comprehension will provide students with practical, ready-to-use strategies. Part of the multivolume Reading for Children Video Series. A Teacher's Guide is included and available online.
