The Elmwood City gang enjoys a series of frights in three animated episodes of the PBS series, based upon the best-selling book series by Marc Brown. First, Sue Ellen gets spooked by a creepy howling noise in the woods in What Scared Sue Ellen?. In, Night Fright, big, brave Binky Barnes tries to hide his secret fear during a sleepover with Arthur. Finally, a group of prankster ghosts arrive in Elmwood City just in time for the Scare Your Pants Off costume party in The Fright Stuff.
