Based on the award-winning books by Max Fatchen, this live-action collection stars Tamblyn Lord, Bill Kerr and David Bradshaw. Sixteen-year-old Shawn Hofner sets out to find work on a riverboat in order to help support his fatherless family. Shawn leaves his drought-stricken family farm in Australia after Scottish Captain Elijah hires him as a deck hand on the steamer "Lazy Jane."
