PRODUCT SUMMARY


Shirley MacLaine, Barbara Hershey and Rachel Blanchard star in this film adaptation of the best-selliing novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery. The story takes place in 1945, and a middle-aged Anne Shirley returns home to Prince Edward Island for a visit. To keep busy while waiting for her son to return from the war, Anne agrees to help out a theater producer by writing a play. However, she becomes distracted when she discovers a secret revealed in a letter from her father.
